Robotics Classes in Armenian Schools
CRONIMET Charity Foundation Supports Establishment of Robotics Classes in Armenian Schools
One of the most interesting and promising partnership projects CRONIMET Charity Foundation is participating is the “Robotics Starts from School” project, jointly implemented by multiple large partners, such as UITE, National Instruments Armenia, Viva Cell - MTS Armenia, USAID, as well as the Ministry of Education and Science of Armenia. The main idea behind the project is to make school children more engineering oriented from early years that would later on result in quality change of secondary and higher education.
To achieve this aim, robotics classes are being established at 50 schools all over Armenia aiming to provide participants with an opportunity to get necessary knowledge and skills in electronics, mechanics, programming, and robot creation. The project has been divided into two phases – and we have been the major partner in both; supporting the design and development of an educational robot prototype in the first phase and the production of 50 educational robot sets that are the basis for robotics classes, in the second.
The overall goal is to establish robotics classes and special clubs in secondary school all over the country and develop scientific and research potential of children in early learning phase that would later on have practical impact on the whole educational system.
